The wheels of justice move slowly, but after a month and a half the L.A. district attorney’s office is set to press charges today (Tues, Oct. 7, 2025) against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s son Raja for his brutal assault on pro wrestler Syko Stu.
Raja, an MMA fighter with a 4-0 amateur and 0-1 professional record, was invited into the ring during a KnokXperience event to play spoiler during a match with Syko Stu (real name Stuart Smith). Instead, Raja knocked Stu unconscious with a powerbomb and then rained down over 20 very real punches on the 39 year old military veteran.
Raja Jackson was eventually arrested on September 19th and held on $50,000 bail. According to the L.A. Times, he will finally be charged regarding the incident with one count of felony battery that caused serious bodily injury plus one count of misdemeanor battery.
Prosecutors will reportedly be seeking a ‘sentencing enhancement’ due to the severity of the injuries Smith endured in the assault.
The Raja Jackson incident was streamed live on Kick for all to see, and showed Stu hitting Raja in the head with a beer can earlier in the evening after misidentifying him as a fellow pro wrestler working an angle. Stu would apologize to Raja on camera, but Jackson’s stream captured the 25 year old plotting to assault Smith in retaliation.
The attack on Stu was so severe that he was in the hospital for days and suffered multiple lost teeth along with a fracture to the maxilla bone. Other wrestlers who pulled Raja Jackson off Syko Stu believed the MMA fighter turned streamer should be charged with attempted murder, but felony battery will have to do. That’s a crime that can comes with a two to four year prison sentence, with sentencing enhancement potentially pushing that number up to ten years.
