someone said new user suggestions were welcome, so why not a thread for suggestions. here’s one:
was thinking about the new forum and thought about an idea for keeping the real dickheads out. what do you guys think about a vote in system? doesn’t even have to be a majority, just like an anonymous vote to let someone in or not? say if x number of people are for or against they get an invite? so i could put someone forward, start a poll, and if 10 people vote for them they get invited? or if there are more yays than nays they get an invite.
i don’t know the specifics, but you’d want to make sure that less known users had a shot and you don’t want a single or small handful of votes to keep people out.

We have a pretty diverse group that reviews the suggestions outside of the mods. We basically just check to make sure they aren’t a total jerk, trolling or super racist. That’s pretty much the review process.
So you can just start adding people you want us to check on. It’s not just me or Hiro that provides feedback and we are pretty willing to give people a chance if they are open to respecting the rules we laid out.
