Oh he already is I’m sure. It’s a shame. When I was in America I was looking at used astons on car gurus and wandys vantage was on there with his mug painted on bonnet. I posted it on ug way back when

He was out out, his feet were even stiff.

When he was KOed by Crocop, I remember thinking he needed to think about retiring. That was 19 years ago. He’s 49 now. Popo was already using him as a punching bag for parts of that fight.

I feel bad for the guys like Penn and Fisher who very possibly didn’t realise what they were doing to themselves but, by now, everyone knows the dangers and I find it hard to sympathise with people who just won’t be responsible for their own health and life (and those of the people they rely on or who rely on them).

Wait, are you saying BJ Penns family are not imposters and he just damaged his brain blocking with his face for the last 5 years of his career?

Unbelievable natural talent but brainless.

That goes for Penn and Wandy.

But Penn was an absolute freak talent. The guy was a LW who gave Machida problems and beat Matt Hughes 2 out of 3 (and looked very good until he hurt his rib in the 2nd fight). If Penn had had the dedication to the sport of someone like GSP, he would almost certainly be remembered as the GOAT IMO.

Penns durability was his downfall. He was taking shots he could have avoided but wanted to stay in the pocket too much.

Wandy was a do or die fighter, he had the talent but his mind said kill or be killed (likely the roids).

Both started fighting more and more reckless, and match making didn’t help.

Penn was also typically fighting above his weight. In his first run in the UFC, he was entering the cage around 153lbs. I couldn’t find it but there was a pic of group pic of Penn at AKA with Khabib in it and Khabib is MASSIVE compared to him.

No doubt, Penn would have been a beast at 145 if he had that option early in his career. The Answer is Frankie Edgar if the question is who ruined BJ Penn, 0-3 vs him. He went 1-7-1 after the first 2 Frankie fights.

The odd thing is that I had him winning the first Edgar right and he also had a cold/virus at the time but was easily beaten in the rematches.

Violence is so fucking stupid.
